Navigating
the Site
The Toolbar
- Familiarize yourself with the web browser if you haven't done
so already. Notice the common buttons BACK, FORWARD, RELOAD, HOME,
and STOP near the top of the browser screen.
Back and
Forth - Notice that on Netscape Navigator 4.x and Microsoft Internet
Explorer 4.x if you right-click on the BACK button, you will get a list
of pages you have visited. From that list, you can select a page
to jump to. The FORWARD button works in the same way.
Not Found
- If you get an error like "404 Not Found", try going BACK to
the previous page you were viewing and then click RELOAD. This refresh
process will update any links on that page that may have changed.
Now try clicking on the link that gave you the error before. If
you still get an error message, Write Us
and send us the URL listed in the Location: bar of the page that had the
bad link.
Keyboard
Shortcuts - These shortcuts apply to both Netscape Navigator
and Internet Explorer:
- Use ALT-LEFT
ARROW and ALT-RIGHT ARROW to go BACK and FORWARD respectively.
- CTRL-R reloads
a page.
- CTRL-D bookmarks
a page.
Convenience
- Notice at the bottom of every page, there is a link labeled TOP.
Clicking on this link will bring you to the top of the current page.
